Studio Policies: At-School Lessons

General

  • Play More Music is a group of passionate instructors with a commitment to music education. Our mission is to instill a life-long love of music in our students by fostering creativity and excellence in practice and performance.
  • The goal of this studio is for students to have fun making music. It is a learning experience that takes dedication, practice, and patience – but the rewards are well worth it.
  • All instructors will be positive, encouraging, and honest about each student’s individual needs.
  • Students may choose to participate in studio recitals and may be required to participate in other recitals.
  • Parents are welcome (and encouraged) to attend lessons.
  • Students are required to sign up for groups of lessons corresponding to the fall and spring school semesters.
  • It is essential for the student to be prepared with their books and instrument at every lesson. Students who are unprepared may forfeit their lesson.
  • This studio policy is subject to change. A current version of the studio policy is posted on our website.

Payment Terms

  • Each 30-minute lesson is $42.
  • Registration is $55 for each new student. Continuing students do not pay registration.
  • After the initial pro-rated period, lessons are purchased in 10-week sessions – outlined on the website at playmoremusic.com
  • Books are $10 each ordered through the student’s instructor and billed to the account with parent’s permission.
  • Statements are sent to the email address provided on the registration form.
  • No refunds are issued – your payment reserves a lesson slot with the instructor for the semester.
  • Play More Music reserves the right to cancel any lessons and accompanying time-slots for accounts which are not paid in full. No make-up lessons or credits will be applied.

Make-up Lessons

  • Make up lessons will be provided for any lessons that are cancelled due to school holidays. These lessons will be rescheduled for after-school hours, and will be arranged directly with parents.
  • Make up lessons will not be provided if a student does not attend (i.e. activity conflict or absence from school).
  • Any lesson canceled due to a teacher’s conflict will, of course, be made up.
