Billy Fairhurst began playing guitar at age 15 and bass at age 16. He has been in love with both instruments since the moment he picked them up. He is a graduate of East Carolina University, where he studied music, theory, and classical guitar. Since his senior year of college he has been teaching private guitar and bass lessons in the Raleigh, North Carolina area with ages ranging from 6 to 65 and up. In addition to teaching he has also played in a few bands, most notably The Jealousy Game (pop punk), and currently The Future Is Me (progressive/post-hardcore). He has performed in front of large audiences on the Vans Warped Tour, and has also toured the East Coast a few times.
In addition to music, Billy also enjoys running, playing with his Boston Terrier, reading, and watching tv/movies and playing video games. He also loves Mexican food and ice cream.
