Dr. Emily Laminack Wetzel is a performer and instructor on violin, viola, and piano. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in violin performance from UGA, with a minor in viola performance. Dr. Wetzel began teaching music privately in 2003, and she currently teaches violin, viola, and chamber music at Berry College. She is the violinist for the Atlanta Trio and freelance performs with several local orchestras, such as the Atlanta Pops Orchestra and the Macon Pops Orchestra. She has performed in Germany, Austria, Italy, China, and throughout the USA in symphonies, operas, film music, pop concerts, chamber concerts, solo recitals, and recording projects. Her
students’ achievements include the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, GMEA All-State Orchestras, the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the National Take a Stand Festival with Gustavo Dudamel.
