Julia McDonnell started piano lessons when she was five years old and added flute lessons in the 4th grade. Along with the instruments she plays, she has been in her church choir since first grade and school choir since fourth grade. She has made GMEA’s Allstate Chorus and Reading Chorus every year eligible and was accepted to Allstate Band in 2023 on flute. She grew up in a musical family and loves playing duets with her mom or brother whenever she can. Julia hopes to inspire her students to love music as much as she does. In addition to music, she enjoys being in the theater program at Lakeside High School and participating in the youth group at Shallowford Presbyterian Church.
