Morgan McMillon grew up in Saginaw, Michigan, where he started playing piano at the age of 4. He was first introduced to classical music through choir and piano lessons. During the same time, he was introduced to gospel music at New Mount Calvary Baptist church. At twelve years old, he started playing the saxophone in the middle school band and continued to play throughout grade school. In high school, Morgan majored in a “Voice/Keyboard” in school and played many musical performances in and outside of school to develop his skill in music. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in music performance and later a Master’s degree in Jazz and contemporary Music in 2016 from the University of Michigan. Morgan currently resides in Atlanta were he teaches middle school band at Adamson Middle School and also gigs professionally in and outside of Georgia.
