Zemyna Didas began piano lessons at 5 years old and flute at 10. She then auditioned for Dekalb School of the Arts and was accepted to be a band and chorus student where she joined the best vocal group by 10th grade and was accepted to play flute in district honor band for the past 3 years. In 10th grade, she ran to be a student representative for the band department and won the position in 10th and 11th grade. She voices student concerns at student board meetings, ensures communication between those involved in the band department and helps organize school events. In her current junior year, she has joined orchestra as a violinist and plays flute for the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO).
Outside of music, she enjoys drawing and reading manga. Zemyna hopes to teach her students the beautiful intricacies of music and how it can bring happiness to everyone around.
