Billie Fairhurst has had a life-long love of music well before she picked up an instrument, and began playing guitar in her teen years. She is a graduate of East Carolina University, where she studied music, theory, and classical guitar. Since 2007, she has been teaching private music lessons on Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Banjo and Mandolin to ages ranging from 5 to 65 and up. In addition to teaching, Billie has experience performing and touring as a member of a number of bands, most recently with the Atlanta-based Radium Jaw, and Max’s Fable. When she’s not teaching or playing music, Billie also enjoys cooking, playing with her dogs, reading comics and watching tv/movies. She also loves burgers, tacos, sushi and ice cream.
